Xindian River, the homeland of sweetfishes.

Xindian River,this river became famous in Chinese world because of Su Rui' song "the same   moonlight". This river winds through Xindian, it carries the history of local people in Xindian. The  ancestors of Taiwanese aborigines and Han people left their footprints here. The people, land and the river have mingled and created abundant history. This river is also the homeland of sweetfishes.

The most characteristic of sweetfishes is the meat has a sweet fregrance like melon when the fish   is fresh, therefore they are also called "the king of rivers". However, after overfished and the water   pollution, someday in 1964 sweetfishes had become extinct in the downstream of Xindian River.   After many years, with the endeavor of professionals and the people with interest, sweetfishes   are back to Xindian river.  

This event has been held for 4 years.on March 30, 2019, we sincerely invite runners to come visit.   we will hold a small marathon by Xindian riverside in an leasure and relaxing way. We will also release land-locked sweetfishes under upper Guishan bridge. Let's work together and let the government pay attention to this issue so Xindian river can become the way it was.

Registration information:

Participant: for marathon group, above age of 16 years old, healthy and international marathon lovers who approve the race regulations are welcome to register.

Grouping method: runners who have participated in 2016, 2017 and 2018 sweetfish marathon will be in VIP group. Others will be in general group. Every volunteer who has volunteered for any marathon event can sign up volunteer group.

All runners must not depart 10 minutes after the starting time. The organizer will close the gate based on the regulation.

Traffic information:

Please take Xindian bus #849 (Taipei main station to Wulai) and get off at New Taipei scouting Guishan campsite (No.191, Sec. 3, Xinwu Rd., Xindian Dist., New Taipei City).

Attention:

1.Marathon is a challenging activity, any minor factor will affect the race result such as sleeping quality, diet and the equipment...etc. Please assess health condition. If runners don't feel well, please stop race immediately. The event organizer shall not be responsible for any accident.

2.Due to the course is remote, not easy to establish the aid stations, therefore there's aid station   every 3 to 5 km. Furthermore, we would like to promote to bring personal drinking bottles. Cups   will not be provided on the event, therefore runners should bring at least 500ml drinking bottle   and refill water at every aid station.

3.A simple buffet will be provided after the race, in order to be environmental friendly, bringing   reusable tableware is highly recommended.

4.The soft copy of the program will not be issued, any important information will be announced   on the website, fanpage and runner's plaza.

5.Because course is an open road, there will be cars on the road. Please be careful for runners' own safety and proceed by following traffic controllers' direction.

6.Due to the limit space of parking lot, please share ride and park the car under the direction of   traffic controllers.
