Through Lanyang Kavalan – Upro Taiwan 100 Bicycle Race Series – Toucheng Sanxing Stop

Features:

In order to enhance the experience and the quality of the Taiwan 100 race series, Lan Yang Institute of Technology will join and co-organise this event.

1. Event village: event village will be set up at the accommodation of Lan Yang institute of technology to provide cheap accommodation. NT 680 (per person) for a suite for two and NT 580 (per person) for a studio for four. You can check in the day before the event at 13:00 and check out at 07:00 the next day. You can use the shower even the event is finished.
2. You don’t need to bring your own bicycle. We provide Giant road bikes and helmet rental service.
3. The local famous seafood porridge or upgrade it to a seafood buffet.
4. Assembly medal – if you accumulate four triangle medals, they can be assembled to a triangle pyramid. If you accumulate four triangle medals and one square medal, they can be assembled to a standard pyramid.
5. Multiple route options. 101 km is suitable for well-experienced rider. 64 km is suitable for experienced riders. 39 km is suitable for ride-for-leisure riders.
6. Bike self-help cleaning and maintaining area. We provide cleaning products for your bikes after the event. If your bike needs maintenance, there will be bike maintainer to help you with the maintenance.
7. With the additional price NT 129 on PHOTOVIP, you will be given a personal sticker for the photographer to recognise and take photos in priority. The photos will be uploaded to the website within 48 hours after the event. You can download your photos by word recognition.
8. Shuttle service. Shuttle service is provided for both the riders and the bikes in case the riders won’t get too tired to affect the racing result or the safety of the commute.

Introduction:

This event is Toucheng Sanxing stop of the Taiwan 100 bicycle race series. There’s challenging group (101 km), half challenging group (64.5 km) and experiencing group (39 km). It starts from Lan Yang Institute of Technology. It’s a half climbing challenge. Instructors, aid stations and the bike maintainers will be on the important intersections to help the riders to finish the race. Although every rider is insured with one million accident insurance and ten thousand medical insurance, please do not ride to the opposite lane and please do slow down on the downward roads or every turn. Timed with J-chip which used in triathlon with the stability 99.9%.

*Accompanied runners are not allow to enter the starting area to affect the chip sensing.

Objects:

1. For riders’ safety, under age of 12 years old cannot sign up. Under age of 16 years old needs parent’s company to participate in the same group. Under age of 18 years old needs to get parent’s approval and provide the declaration of parental consent. Registration without parental consent will not be accepted.
2. This is a challenging activity. Please assess your health condition carefully. Riders with cardiovascular disease will be advised not to participate.

Riding equipment advise:

1. The route will pass through the viaduct where is bumpy. Bikes need to be equipped with the front and back brake.
2. For riders’ safety, riders without a helmet are not allowed to set off.

Inbound time:  11:00 ~ 14:00. shuttle bus to Taipei and Zhongli. Depart once the seats are fully taken.

2. Bike shuttle service information: please disassemble the bike and out it in the bike bag before get on the shuttle bus. If you don’t have a bike bag, the organiser will provide you a bag with an additional charge NT100. The organiser will take no responsibility for the damage during transportation.

Lucky draw:

Riders can go to the assigned lucky draw box to do the lucky draw after back to the event location.

1. The first lucky draw box (before 08:30 – 09:00) - every lucky draw ticket can win a prize. The prized will be published before the event.
2. The second lucky draw box (09:00 – 10:00) - 50% chance to win a prize. The prized will be published before the event.
3. The third lucky draw box (10:00 – 11:00) - 30% chance to win a prize. The prized will be published before the event.
4. The fourth lucky draw box (11:00 – after 12:00) - 10% chance to win a prize. The prized will be published before the event.

*All aid stations are applied legally. In order to maintain the quality and the right of the riders, riders without bib are not allowed to access the aid stations.

Timing rules:

1. This event is timed by timing chip. If you are at the starting and finish area, please make sure you ride pass through the sensing area. No sensing record will be regarded as unfinished the race and the certificate will not be issued.
2. Riders without bib are not allowed to enter starting area.

Grouping and the result:

Riders will be grouped by age and gender. The rank will be set by actual starting time and finish time and the result will be published on the website after the event.
